AED is grateful for the donations we receive that help us to continue our valuable work. It is important to us that the information you give when making an online donation remains secure. A reputable company secures your credit card information. The information is used only for that particular transaction and is not stored.

Domain name
AED's Web server automatically recognizes, but does not collect or use your domain name (IP address). AED anonymously tracks your visit in order to compile statistical information about the use of our website. We do not collect individual information about you or your use of this site.

Cookie Use
A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Some web sites use cookies to collect detailed personal user information. AED uses cookies only to check to see if you are a return visitor. We do not use cookies to surreptitiously collect any personal information from your computer.

Email addresses
Our website does not automatically recognize your email address. We collect the email addresses of those who communicate with us by email and we ask for your email address on our "Donate Online" page. If you communicate with us by email or give us your email address, we may send you occasional email updates on our programs.

We use email links to allow you to contact us directly with questions or comments. We may also use your comments to improve our site and program. We may file the emails you send to follow up with you about your comments.

Personal Information
You do not have to provide any personal information on our website unless you choose to do so.

We ask for personal information on our "Donate Online" page. We use this information to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes. In addition, your name and other information will be placed on our mailing list. If you do not want your personal information to go on our mailing list, uncheck the box at the end of the section.

If you wish to make a donation in honor of or in memory of someone, we will not use the information you give us on that individual for any other purposes.

We will not make email addresses, postal addresses and telephone numbers available to other nonprofit or commercial organizations.

Opt-out
This site gives you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving additional information from us. If you do not want to receive additional information, please uncheck the boxes at the point at which we request that information. (E.g. the Donate Online page).

Your privacy is very important to us. If you feel that your privacy has been violated or that AED has misused your information in any way, please contact the AED at info@AED.org.

Organized under the laws of Delaware in 1961 as a not-for-profit corporation, the Academy for Educational Development is exempt from tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualifies for the maximum charitable contribution deduction by donors. Our Federal Identification Number is 13-6110212.

AED has filed to directly solicit funds in the 39 jurisdictions that require registration, 37 are completed and the following 2 are pending: DC and New York.

Nothing herein constitutes a solicitation of funds in any jurisdiction in which it is unlawful to make such a solicitation.
